DEVELOPING CHARACTER AND LOVE FOR LIFE-LONG LEARNING
Hope For Refugee Children
Children’s Training Centre (CTC) is a non-profit learning centre that was established with a one-time grant from UNHCR in 2009. The community work is sponsored by Hope Evangelical Free Church and operates out of 2 rented shoplot premises situated in the Setapak suburb of Kuala Lumpur.
CTC is open to all refugee children from ages 5 to 18 years. CTC offers kindergarten and schooling from Grade 1 to Grade 8. English is the medium of instruction throughout the grades. Our Centre engages full-time teachers – most of whom are refugees – who undergo continuous training so they may be able to fulfill their tasks with conviction and confidence.
As a community service, monthly fees are intentionally affordable. Our refugee children benefit from a wholesome programme that is a balance of academic pursuits, capacity building, and character development. Since its establishment, CTC has been well-regarded for its administration, discipline, and many collaborative activities with other NGOs and corporations. Refugee families know their children are in good hands at CTC.
CTC is a community school registered with the UNHCR.
